Many people have asked themselves this question over the past three months of the full-scale war with Russia. Many have already managed to lose faith or become “tired” of the war and, unfortunately, speak openly about the need to capitulate to the enemy or sign a “peace agreement”.

 

We, in turn, want to remind everyone of the importance of our continued struggle. Moscow, like all of Russia, must disappear from the maps forever.  Our struggle is just as important as the struggle of the Banderites against the Bolsheviks. Our aims and ultimate goal are the same as they were 78 years ago, when Petro Poltava’s work “Who Are the Banderites and What Are They Fighting For?” was written.

1. The highest value for us is the good and happiness of the Ukrainian people. We must end this war so that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren can live in peace and build the Ukrainian State.

 

“Unlike the Ukrainian Bolsheviks, whose highest command is the will of their Kremlin masters, we, Ukrainian nationalists, take as our highest command the good and happiness of the Ukrainian people. We consider the highest and most important task of the Ukrainian people at the present moment to be the struggle against the Muscovite-Bolshevik occupiers and their Ukrainian agents — the Ukrainian Bolsheviks — for the national and social liberation of the Ukrainian people, and for the construction of a Ukrainian, truly independent, national state.”

2. Russia, throughout its entire existence, has destroyed and brutally killed other peoples. As long as Russia exists, we will not see a peaceful life in our own state. 

 

“We, the Banderites, fight against the Bolsheviks because, both towards Ukraine and towards all other non-Russian peoples of the USSR, they pursue a policy of brutal national oppression and economic exploitation. The Kremlin imperialists use Ukraine primarily as a raw-material base for the industry of Russia’s central regions. In Ukraine, as in every other so-called union republic, the Bolsheviks pursue a policy of brutal cultural oppression. During the years of Bolshevik rule in Ukraine, the Cheka, GPU, NKVD, MVD and MGB destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian scholars — historians, linguists, literary scholars and economists — and destroyed hundreds of writers, poets and artists.”

3. Our culture is unique. As long as the Ukrainian language exists, the Ukrainian State exists.

 

“All life in Ukraine is being Russified. In all administrative, cultural and economic institutions, and in all universities and institutes, the Russian language effectively prevails. The Russian language dominates completely in the army; it is imposed on the Ukrainian people through methods of indirect pressure. The entire cultural policy of the Bolshevik oppressors in Ukraine is aimed at the complete cultural assimilation of Ukraine with Russia, and at the complete liquidation of the cultural distinctiveness of the Ukrainian people.”

4. There can be no talk of any brotherhood with Russians. An enemy who killed our fathers and will not miss an opportunity to kill us cannot be our friend.

 

“The Bolsheviks are physically exterminating the Ukrainian people on a mass scale. Three times during their rule in Ukraine, they deliberately caused famine. To this day, around ten million Ukrainians have fallen victim to this deliberately induced famine in Ukraine; hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men and women have been deported to Siberia and Central Asia. There, forced to live in the most appalling conditions, they die in large numbers. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian patriots have been destroyed by the Bolshevik oppressors in prisons, in exile and in concentration camps, or shot in direct struggle. In recent years alone, in the struggle against our liberation-revolutionary movement, they have destroyed tens of thousands of Ukrainians.”
